AppClickPrint Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AppClickPrint handles information when developers and customers use the AppClickPrint website, service and AppClickPrint Gateway applications for Android, Windows and Linux. AppClickPrint is operated by 2M Systems Pty Ltd in Australia.

Information we handle

Depending on how AppClickPrint is used, we may handle:

• Account and organisation information, including names, email addresses, authentication records and account roles.
• Developer billing information, billing addresses, optional business tax identifiers, subscription status and transaction references. Payment-card details are collected and processed by Stripe and are not stored by AppClickPrint.
• Gateway and printer information, including gateway identifiers and names, device platform, connection status, installed printer-queue names, printer models, drivers, network addresses and ports, paired Bluetooth addresses, and USB vendor and product identifiers.
• Print-job information, including document name, requested dimensions, copies, selected printer, status, timestamps, data volume and diagnostic or failure messages.
• Technical and security information such as IP addresses, session records, audit events and service logs.
• PDF documents or document URLs submitted for printing. When a URL is supplied, the selected gateway normally downloads the document directly from that URL.

Android permissions and local discovery

AppClickPrint Gateway uses internet and local-network access to connect to AppClickPrint and discover or communicate with printers. Nearby-device access is used for printers on the local network and for paired Bluetooth printers. USB-host access is used only when a compatible printer is connected. Notification permission allows the persistent gateway-service status to be shown. The app starts its print service after device restart when the user has previously signed in.

The app does not request precise or approximate location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, SMS, call logs or advertising identifiers. Local printer discovery may reveal device names and network addresses on the user’s network; that information is reported only to the customer account to which the gateway is signed in.

Windows and Linux gateways

The Windows and Linux gateways inspect printer queues installed on the local computer and discover supported printers on its local network. They report printer and queue names, models, connection details, capabilities and availability to the customer account to which the gateway is connected. Gateway credentials are stored locally for the background service, and downloaded print documents are removed after each print attempt.

How we use information

• Provide account access, printer discovery, print routing, job history and diagnostics.
• Authenticate API, portal and gateway requests and prevent access between customer accounts.
• Calculate print-data usage, subscriptions, invoices and service limits.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve AppClickPrint.
• Meet legal, tax, fraud-prevention and accounting obligations.

Print documents

Print documents are processed solely to deliver the requested print job. Documents downloaded by AppClickPrint Gateway are held in the app’s private temporary cache and deleted after the print attempt. Documents uploaded to AppClickPrint may be retained temporarily for delivery and operational recovery, then removed according to the service’s retention procedures. Integrators should prefer short-lived document URLs where appropriate and must ensure they are authorised to submit the document and personal information it contains.

When information is disclosed

Information may be disclosed to infrastructure, hosting, monitoring, email and payment providers that process it on our behalf; to an AppClickPrint developer organisation responsible for the relevant customer account; when required by law; or as part of a business transfer. AppClickPrint does not sell personal information and does not use gateway or print information for third-party behavioural advertising.

Printer vendor SDKs from Zebra, Brother and Epson operate within the Android app to discover or communicate with supported printers. AppClickPrint does not intentionally send account or print-document content to those vendors through these SDK integrations.

Retention and security

We retain account, billing, audit and print-job records for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet contractual or legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service. Retention periods may differ by record type and customer arrangement. We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

International processing

AppClickPrint may use service providers in countries other than the user’s country. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

Access, correction and deletion

Users can update relevant account, gateway and printer information through the portal. A customer administrator can remove gateways and users. Requests to access, correct or delete personal information, or questions about retention, may be sent using the contact details below. Some information may be retained where required for security, tax, accounting or legal purposes.

Children

AppClickPrint is a business printing service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
