Field service PRINTING

Print work orders and service documents from your cloud app

Give workshops, service counters and operational sites a reliable Print action for documents and labels generated by your maintenance or field-service workflow.

AppClickPrint cloud print gateway

Use the gateway that fits each customer site

Your API integration stays the same. The customer can connect Android, Windows or Linux depending on the printers and computers already available at the site.

Android
AndroidQR setup, network, paired Bluetooth and USB discovery without a dedicated PC.
Windows
WindowsDiscovers supported network printers without installing them. Existing Windows queues are optional and discovered too.
Linux
LinuxDiscovers supported network printers without CUPS setup. Existing CUPS destinations are optional and discovered too.

THE PRINTING PROBLEM

Bridge cloud service records to local paperwork

Maintenance and service platforms hold the current job, asset and customer data, but many sites still need a paper work order, collection document or equipment label. Downloading a PDF and choosing a printer each time interrupts the workflow and is difficult to support remotely.

AppClickPrint routes the generated output to a printer selected for the customer site. Windows and Linux gateways can expose existing office queues; Android can support compact stations and label printers.

Workshop work orders

Print job details, tasks, parts and asset references for technicians at the workshop.

Service and collection documents

Produce a customer copy, collection slip or completed-service report from the current record.

Asset and repair labels

Print job numbers, QR codes or status labels for equipment moving through a service process.

FROM APP ACTION TO PAPER

A workflow your application can own

The host app reaches a print-ready state

Use your own job status, permissions and template version to decide when printing is allowed.

Generate from current service data

Create the PDF or label on the trusted backend rather than trusting editable frontend fields.

Resolve the site and output printer

Map work orders, customer documents and asset labels to their configured aliases.

Attach the job result

Store the AppClickPrint ID with the service record for troubleshooting and deliberate reprints.

WEB, MOBILE AND AI-BUILT APPS

Works with the stack you already use

Field-service apps built with FlutterFlow, Bubble, Replit, Lovable, Base44, Bolt.new, v0 or a custom mobile/web backend can add this server-side print step without exposing customer keys.

Implementation checklist

Build printing as a tenant-safe backend capability, then expose simple controls in the customer-facing application.

  1. Generate documents on the backend from authorised service-record data.
  2. Keep separate printer selections for office documents and thermal asset labels.
  3. Use installed OS drivers where paper trays, duplex or office-printer finishing matters.
  4. Include the service record and document version in the idempotency key.
  5. Provide a visible Reprint action instead of retrying completed jobs automatically.
  6. Offer Manage Gateways so a site can replace a workstation or add another service area.
Core integration pattern: provision the customer once, keep acm_ and acp_ keys on the trusted backend, provide permanent Add Gateway and Manage Gateways controls, let the user select an available printer, and submit jobs using its current alias.

Common questions

Can a mobile field-service app trigger printing back at the workshop?

Yes. The mobile client calls its trusted backend, which submits to the printer alias configured for that customer site.

Can it print through an existing office printer?

Yes. Install the Windows or Linux gateway on a computer that has the printer queue configured.

Can it also print equipment labels?

Yes. Save a separate thermal printer and label template, then route label jobs independently from work-order documents.
