Warehousing PRINTING

Print pallet and inventory labels from your warehouse app

Turn a scan, receipt or stock-movement action into a correctly sized label at the printer beside the operator—without asking the browser to find hardware on the warehouse network.

AppClickPrint cloud print gateway

Use the gateway that fits each customer site

Your API integration stays the same. The customer can connect Android, Windows or Linux depending on the printers and computers already available at the site.

Android
AndroidQR setup, network, paired Bluetooth and USB discovery without a dedicated PC.
Windows
WindowsDiscovers supported network printers without installing them. Existing Windows queues are optional and discovered too.
Linux
LinuxDiscovers supported network printers without CUPS setup. Existing CUPS destinations are optional and discovered too.

THE PRINTING PROBLEM

Keep warehouse labelling inside the stock workflow

When staff receive a pallet or create an inventory unit, leaving the warehouse app to open a PDF, choose a printer and correct the media size adds delay and invites mistakes. A cloud application also cannot directly reach a Zebra, TSC or Toshiba printer hidden on the site LAN.

AppClickPrint gives the application a stable printer alias. The backend submits the pallet label to that alias and the on-site gateway completes the local print connection.

Pallet and SSCC labels

Print GS1-style logistics labels, pallet IDs and handling references from receiving or production.

Bin and stock labels

Create barcode or QR labels when inventory locations, containers or stock records are created.

Reprint at the right station

Let an authorised operator choose a receiving, despatch or production printer without exposing API keys.

FROM APP ACTION TO PAPER

A workflow your application can own

The warehouse action creates a label record

Receiving, production or a stock transfer supplies the pallet ID, barcode data and human-readable fields.

Your backend renders the final document

Generate a PDF at the exact media dimensions or produce native ZPL. Keep customer credentials server-side.

AppClickPrint routes by printer alias

Use the printer selected for that warehouse, zone or workflow and include an idempotency key to prevent duplicate labels on retry.

The local gateway prints

An Android, Windows or Linux gateway receives the job and connects to the printer on the customer network.

WEB, MOBILE AND AI-BUILT APPS

Works with the stack you already use

Warehouse tools built with Replit, Lovable, Bubble, Base44, Bolt.new, v0, WeWeb or a conventional Node, .NET, PHP or Python backend can use the same HTTPS print endpoint.

Implementation checklist

Build printing as a tenant-safe backend capability, then expose simple controls in the customer-facing application.

  1. Store label width and height with the pallet-label template; do not infer them from a preview image.
  2. Store both the immutable printer ID and current alias for each warehouse or print station.
  3. Provide Select printer, Add Gateway and Manage Gateways controls to authorised customer users.
  4. Use a business event ID as the idempotency key so a network timeout does not create a second physical label.
  5. Use ZPL only for printers configured for ZPL; otherwise submit a correctly sized PDF.
  6. Track queued, completed and failed outcomes if the warehouse screen promises confirmation.
Core integration pattern: provision the customer once, keep acm_ and acp_ keys on the trusted backend, provide permanent Add Gateway and Manage Gateways controls, let the user select an available printer, and submit jobs using its current alias.

Common questions

Can one warehouse use several label printers?

Yes. Register multiple gateways and printers, then save a different printer selection for receiving, production, picking or despatch.

Can the app print an SSCC barcode?

Yes. Generate the required barcode in the PDF or ZPL document. AppClickPrint routes the finished print data; your application remains responsible for the identifier and barcode content.

What happens if a gateway computer fails?

An authorised user can connect another gateway. Android is useful for fast replacement, while Windows and Linux can expose existing installed queues.
