Shipping PRINTING

Add shipping and address label printing to your application

Send the label created by your order, fulfilment or returns workflow straight to the customer’s chosen thermal printer instead of downloading it and opening a print dialog.

AppClickPrint cloud print gateway

Use the gateway that fits each customer site

Your API integration stays the same. The customer can connect Android, Windows or Linux depending on the printers and computers already available at the site.

Android
AndroidQR setup, network, paired Bluetooth and USB discovery without a dedicated PC.
Windows
WindowsDiscovers supported network printers without installing them. Existing Windows queues are optional and discovered too.
Linux
LinuxDiscovers supported network printers without CUPS setup. Existing CUPS destinations are optional and discovered too.

THE PRINTING PROBLEM

Remove the print dialog from fulfilment

A shipping platform can create a perfect courier label and still deliver a poor workflow if every user must download it, find the correct printer, choose 100 × 150 mm media and disable scaling. Browser defaults frequently favour office paper rather than label stock.

With AppClickPrint, the customer selects a printer once. Your backend sends each courier PDF or ZPL job to that alias with the exact dimensions.

Courier labels

Print 4 × 6 inch / 100 × 150 mm carrier labels immediately after shipment creation.

Address and return labels

Route smaller address, returns or internal mail labels to the appropriate label printer.

Batch fulfilment

Submit independently tracked jobs for a pick-and-pack batch without opening dozens of browser tabs.

FROM APP ACTION TO PAPER

A workflow your application can own

The user buys or creates the shipment

Your app receives a PDF or native printer-language label from its shipping provider.

The backend validates the selected printer

Confirm the saved printer still belongs to the authenticated customer and is available.

The label is submitted at native dimensions

Pass widthMm and heightMm matching the PDF page. Use documentUrl when the gateway can safely fetch a signed label URL.

The packing bench receives the print

The gateway routes it locally without requiring the originating browser to remain connected.

WEB, MOBILE AND AI-BUILT APPS

Works with the stack you already use

This pattern fits ecommerce and fulfilment products created in Shopify-adjacent custom apps, Lovable, Replit, Bubble, FlutterFlow, Base44, Bolt.new, v0/Vercel or established SaaS stacks.

Implementation checklist

Build printing as a tenant-safe backend capability, then expose simple controls in the customer-facing application.

  1. Preserve the courier PDF without re-rendering it through a browser canvas.
  2. Save a selected printer per warehouse, store, packing bench or user preference as appropriate.
  3. Send the carrier’s exact physical page dimensions and avoid adding margins.
  4. Use short-lived signed documentUrl values that remain valid long enough for an offline gateway to reconnect.
  5. Use stable idempotency keys based on shipment and label version.
  6. Offer a deliberate Reprint action rather than automatically resubmitting a completed label.
Core integration pattern: provision the customer once, keep acm_ and acp_ keys on the trusted backend, provide permanent Add Gateway and Manage Gateways controls, let the user select an available printer, and submit jobs using its current alias.

Common questions

Will AppClickPrint resize a courier label?

The best result comes from sending the PDF at its native dimensions and passing the same widthMm and heightMm. The gateway can fit output, but it should not be used to repair an incorrectly generated page.

Can I send a label URL instead of uploading the PDF?

Yes. A secure HTTP or HTTPS documentUrl can be downloaded directly by the gateway and is metered at the fixed gateway-direct job amount.

Does the customer need a Windows PC?

No. They can use an Android gateway. A Windows or Linux gateway is also available when installed printer queues are useful.
